A baker’s dozen of us filled our gompa for Saga Dawa this year. Our ‘bring a plate to share’ dinner nourished and warmed us for the celebrations. Following this hearty feed, we zoomed in to our sister centre in Canberra where a 16 Arhat Puja was led by Lama Choedak Rinpoche in traditional Tibetan style. We even did most of it in Tibetan language.

With faith and devotion by coming together on such auspicious days, we generate merit which put simply, means getting involved in sangha activities, the Buddha’s teachings become more real to us.
